Meet the Behavior Analysts
Emily Hilbelink, MS, BCBA
Emily has worked as a Behavior Analyst for MAWSECO for five years. She currently serves as a consultant for the Delano, Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted, Maple Lake, and Rockford school districts and supports the MAWSECO programs in Buffalo.
Emily has worked with individuals with special needs, specifically autism and developmental disabilities for over ten years. Prior to becoming a behavior analyst, Emily worked as a Special Education (DCD) teacher, behavior therapist, PCA, and paraprofessional. Emily is passionate about due process as it relates to behavior, Functional Behavior Assessment, discrete trial training, and classroom management.
Marie Erickson, MS, BCBA
This is Marie's fifth year working as a Behavior Analyst for MAWSECO. She currently works primarily in the MAWSECO level 4 programs, spending the majority of her time in TREK and Journeys. She also serves Annandale, Dassel Cokato, and Litchfield districts.
In addition to her role as a behavior analyst, Marie is a member of the Autism Resource Team and regularly administers the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition (ADOS-2). She also develops and delivers trainings for teachers and paraprofessionals including the de-escalataion trainings provided throughout the cooperative.
Marie has worked with individuals with developmental disabilities, specifically autism spectrum disorders, for 15 years. Her experiences range from working with adults in the group home setting to early intervention in-home therapy with children and their families.
Together, the Behavior Analysts train MAWSECO and district Special Education staff in de-escalation techniques and restrictive procedures annually. They work to develop and deliver trainings relevant to teachers and paraprofessionals. They'd enjoy answering your questions, so reach out to your district's coordinator to see if working with a behavior analyst is right for you and your student!
